It’s always a great feeling to get inside Airport with full access and experience food at different outlets. Well, that happened last week when Kempegowda International Airport, Bengaluru hosted a food walk at their International and Domestic Terminals. I was one among luckiest people to be part of that day! It’s always a dilemma that where to eat when you are travelling via KIAL isn’t it? I personally think too much about the place and kind of food I have to it. I am sure that, this post will give you a solution about choosing food at Airport.

Kempegowda International Airport, Bengaluru is one of the newest airports in the country with fabulous state of art infrastructure hasn’t disappointed their patrons when it comes to choosing a food and restaurants. As there are various restaurants housed with multiple cuisines with Indian and International Delicacies.

It was a well-planned food walk visiting restaurants like La Tapenade, Tiffin Centre, La Alta Vita and Puro Gusto. Good that they have planned only for these 4 beautiful outlets which is suitable for any individual.

A journey started at Airport with La Tapenade, a Mediterranean restaurant offers calm and soothing experience with their classic décor. We were served Focaccia, Mezze Platter and Ice Tea to kick start. Mezze Platter had Pita bread & Falafel served along with Tabbouleh, Hummus, Baba Ghanoush, Black Olives and Salads. The platter was lite and perfect. Lemon Iced Tea was the right drink to accompany the Platter. La Tapenade has a Pizza oven which is imported from Italy to serve authentic Pizzas.

Tiffin Centre, a South Indian restaurant offers food from Andhra Pradesh, Telangana, Karnataka, Tamilnadu and Kerala. The menu at Tiffin Centre can certainly impress any South Indian with respect to their handpicked and forgotten dishes. We got to try some snacks like Chili Bajji, Spinach Bonda, Balekayi Bajji and Masala Vada along with Butter Milk. These were so delicious and served in steel place, like the way these dishes served at South Indian homes. I would certainly prefer having South Indian meal over here!

A walk at International airport is incomplete without visiting most famous Italian cuisine restaurant isn’t it? Yes, we did visit La Alta Vita post visiting Tiffin Centre. La Alta Vita is an Italian fine dine restaurant located in International Terminal and well known for most of International travelers. As few of my clients were endorsing a lot about this restaurant during their visits to Bangalore! During the walk, we tried Minestrone Soup – The taste was brilliant with the enriched taste and served beautifully. Followed by Soup, we were served some authentic pizzas like Pizza Vegeteriano, Pesto Chicken & Roasted Peppers Pizza and White Pizza. The Pizza Vegeteriano was thin crust, sauce spread across properly and topped with Bell Peppers, Onions, Sun-dried tomatoes & some Basil Leaves. Tasted quite good!

An afternoon ended with Puro Gusto, an Italian Coffee Shop offers finest coffee, fast foods like sandwiches, Salads, fruit bowls and desserts. I have settled with fresh fruit bowl, Tiramisu and cappuccino. I have heard about Puro Gusto from few friends and according to that I set my expectations about the place. To be honest, I was totally overwhelmed with quality of the ingredients they use to prepare dishes. One thing I noticed and strongly endorse about Puro Gusto is freshness of each and every dish. Tiramisu tasted incredibly good.

It was a different experience all together with some extravagant food! Now you know where to eat, when you are at Kempegowda International Airport Limited, Bengaluru. I would like to thank KIAL for having us over.
