If you are Bombay food lover then Dishoom is the place for you and I myself is the great fan of Vada Pav. However, my taste buds were craving for Pav Bhaji on a weekend evening and I have covered most of the small joints and restaurants in the locality. Using Zomato I figured out a best restaurant or joint to serve authentic Pav Bhaji. Finally my search ended up with “Dishoom”. A café kind of restaurant, located below Loveshack in Domlur(Opposite EGL). The Positive reviews about the place made even appealing. It was around 7pm and place was emptied. As soon as we entered, ambiance took us to Mumbai because of the Photo frames, Graffiti, décor and seating!image

Next was Vada Pav – They served Pav, Green Chutney, Vada and Powder separately. It wasn’t over spiced but fell in love with it. I had a perception that, why people don’t put some butter to make Pav. In fact, I ate only at the places which served butter Vada Pav. But here Pav was soft and fluffy. It made the Pav ready to melt in mouth with out butter.image

Folks at Dishoom suggested trying out Chinese Bhel, which is one of the most common street side chat in Mumbai. Trust me; it tastes heavenly, being a spicy food lover. This dish made with Crispy Noodles and unified with Schezwan sauce and served tiny portion of Veg Balls along with it.

Guess which is the ‘tastiest vegetarian dish in the world’? Yes, it is the ‘Misal pav.’ It has been declared the ‘tastiest vegetarian dish in the world’ by the Foodie Hub Global Awards in London. I heard about this dish but never had because, most of my regular visiting eateries don’t serve this. In Dishoom, I tried for the first time and totally loved it, the spices used for the curry are entirely homemade and tastes unique and the Farsan is of noble eminence.

We got a hope about the place and decided to finish our dinner by ordering few more snacks!

Next we ordered Sabudana Vada and Tandoori Aloo, I had both of the dishes in multiple outlets and not so impressed but here I adored Sabudana Vada because of softness and lite crispiness. However, Tandoori Aloo is fusion; it looks like a falafel and tastes sweet, sour and spiciness. One will definitely love this dish!

In Cocktails, Ordered “Garam Dharam Whisky” which is prepared using Whisky, apple juice, Indian Spices, hot water and lime juice – It is an apt drink for a person like me, drink will be warm as name says and you will enjoy the aroma of Indian spices while sipping.

Hare Chana ka Chaat is something we should not miss at Dishoom, it’s a most common snack in Mumbai while having a drink. Chana was perfectly boiled and decently spiced.

I finished my evening with “Mojito” – It was an enthusiastic refresher.
