Culinary Journey

Eatongo extended their operations to Koramangala with the prolonged menu.

December 29, 2015

Eatongo.in is one of the most successful food tech startups in Bangalore. I have been ordering since they started their operations in Indiranagar and one of the happy customers for the breakfast combos. I liked the way they respond to the customers in all the parameters. When I was trying to order recently, noticed that they started operating in Koramangala from a new centralized kitchen.

The menu seems to be quite interesting with extended selections. Being a vegetarian, my prime focus is more of a tasty veg food. I always use to order “Purani Delli” combo and that was the only vegetarian combo at the beginning. However, they introduced a combo by name “Bhojpuri” which consists of Aloo Bhujia, Aloo Chana ki Ghugni, Baingan ka Chokha, Coal Fired Littis, Pooris, Raita, Buttermilk and Jamoon later on.

In last one month, I started ordering dishes from their new extended menu which includes Veg Poha, Channa Bathura, Chola Kulcha, Masala Poha and Vada Pav. All these dishes were extremely good without any complaints. I liked Veg Poha, Chola Kulcha & Channa Bathura Most.

  1. Veg Poha – The fusion version of Poha I would say, since they added bell peppers to the poha, which gave an exotic taste. I would definitely recommend this dish and being a spicy food lover, I feel little a spice level could have done better. veggie-poha
  2. Chola Bathura Combo – One of the brilliant weekend combos in the eatongo.in menu. I totally adored this combo after “Purani Delli”. The Chola was prepared in a perfect authentic manner with good spice level. Being a Chaat, the dish needs to be spicy and it is an apt dish for a spice lover like me. The Bathura was puffed and super soft. They served some onion & chili based salad, Jamoon and Butter Milk. chola-bhatura
  3. Chola Kulcha – Appealing streets of Delhi with pure, desi serving of Chola Kulcha, satiated my hunger for authentic Chola and relished the finely made Kulcha with fresh Raita. I have had this kind of thick kulcha in one of the popular restaurants during Delhi food festival and tastes similar to that place. chola-kulcha

I would like to appreciate eatongo.in for the way of packing these dishes, that’s truly creditable without the use of fancy packaging.

The pricing is something I should really talk, since the menu is decently priced for the portions they serve. I dint see many changes in the pricing from quite some time.

The delivery folks are very kind and always delivered the food on time. A couple of instances, they delivered late, that’s something will not make me bothered much.

Currently they are delivering in Challaghatta, CV Raman Nagar, Domlur, Ejipura, HSR Layout, Indiranagar, Jeevan Bheema Nagar, Kodihalli, Koramangala, Murugeshpalya, Thippasandra, Trinity Circle and Ulsoor

Keep up the good work people!

Looking forward to see more coverage in Bangalore!
