Culinary Journey Launch in Bangalore @ Shiro, UB City

March 28, 2015 is one of the preeminent online portals which provide best fine dining experience in most of the conurbations in India. They are doing an incredible job in providing a best culinary experience in most of the elegant restaurants.

Basically gourmetitup is tied up with many restaurants in the town to give a memorable experience to their patrons.

Well, successfully was launched in Bangalore on 19th March 2015 at Shiro, UB City and prior to Bangalore. They have operations at Delhi, Mumbai & Pune with 50,000 loyal and most satisfied patrons from first comers to connoisseurs.

They had invited few bloggers, food enthusiasts, High Net worth Individuals for the successful launch with Collaboration of “Chandon India” and “Shiro”.


Chandon is an excellent brand and is a synonym for world famous sparkling wines & champagne.

Coming to Shiro, it is one of the beautiful restaurants I visited so far with breath taking ambiance and classy decor. They offer organic blend of cuisines, Signature Cocktails, culture and service from all over Asia clubbed with some great international music to render extraordinary dining experience. Shiro is well known for Japanese, Korean, Vietnamese, Chinese and Thai cuisines in three major cities of India. Sushi is my all time favorite Japanese dish.

Launch started up with Master Class by Chef. Hung from Vietnam with his innovative Vietnamese Dish preparation with demonstration!  I was totally impressed with his demonstration of preparing dishes like Goi Cuon and Ca Ri Ga.

Goi Cuon was simple dish made out of different meats and veggies wrapped in a Rice Paper and just melts in your mouth with peanut sauce. Being a vegetarian I tried the one with Veggies which was excellent.

Ca Ri Ga was a second dish on his demonstration, basically it was a kind of Chicken curry with pepper corns and lemon grass. My fellow bloggers enjoyed the dish.

Lastly Chef. Jagadish from Shiro demonstrated the preparation of Maki Sushi in a simple way by using Japan Sticky rice with Cucumber, Avacado and Carrots. After seeing the demo I am zealously waiting to try out this dish at home.

It was a great experience for me to have a long conversation with founders and management of with “Chandon Brut” wine.  I liked the concept of Gourmetitup fine dining with great deals and attractive discounts at most popular restaurants in the Town with extra care.

Post Launch, Three course dinner was served to everyone that Included Mango Salad, Glass Noodles, Veg Fried rice with Tofu in Soya Sauce, Veg Goi Cuon and Chocolate Fondant with Fig.


I liked Mango Salad which is most common salad in the Vietnamese restaurants. Roasted Peanuts in salad gave perfect combination to the dish. Veg fried rice with Tofu in Soya sauce is another mouth watering dish and must try. My meal was complete with Chocolate Fondant, I was not so impressed with it because of the eggy odor.
