On the occasion of Mother’s Day, I & Monkey invited few bloggers and food critics for a special lunch with Executive Chef. Rohan, I was one among them. We were advised to send the favorite dish that our mother’s prepares or favorite one. The chef would be giving some extra kink to those dishes. I was supposed to take my mother, but couldn’t make it, she was out of the station.

It’s always a great feeling to interact with fellow food bloggers and the Chef. During these meets, get to know about new places to discover diverse types of food.
Well, this meet was more like a conversation with Chef. Rohan and He explained about the concept of food which “I & Monkey” serves for their Patrons. Cuisines which serves here are customized based on customer’s/guest’s requirement, that’s why “I & Monkey” is always a people favorite. Another best thing about this restaurant is they keep changing their menu often, so that people don’t get bored of the food.

In the beginning, I mentioned that Chef would be preparing some interesting dishes for us. I happened to try out some which were extremely good.
The first dish we were served was “Lemon Risotto with a twist of Lemon Rice”, the name itself says it’s a combination of Italian & south Indian flavors. It tastes great with the tangy and sweetish!

Second dish was “Navarathan Korma”. This dish had a great texture and I could taste the flavor of pasta in it. I absolutely liked the dish and ended up finishing completely without hesitation.

Now it’s time to talk about my favorite dish. Yes, that’s Pulao! The chef prepared a special Kashmiri Pulao but not Veg Pulao, when they said Kashmiri Pulao; I was unhappy, but after tasting it, I fell in love with it. I had a negative feeling about Kashmiri Pulao but I don’t mind trying out anywhere after tried here.

Along with these dishes they also served Fish & Lamb Curry and personally I don’t have a clue about those two dishes but fellow bloggers enjoyed especially lamb curry. Presentations of all the dishes are upright!

I tried both the dishes with Navarathan Korma and tastes brilliant! Along with these dishes we tried a couple of Rum Based Cocktails and Mocktails, they were good though!

We finished our meeting with few beautiful desserts like Mango Mousse, Chocolate Brownie, Tiramisu and Passion Fruit Cheese Cake. I started liking desserts now days because of the opportunity which I am getting to try out from restaurants like “I & Monkey”. Well, desserts were upright and Mango Mousse was the best among all. In fact, I started searching for a recipe to try out at Home.

I & Monkey has a beautiful indoor and outdoor décor with multiple sections. A patron can choose based on their Curiosity. The place has a beautiful natural light to most of the sections that’s another positive point about the ambience here.
