By The Blue is one of the top class poolside restaurant which is part of Grand Mercure. This brasserie is located in interiors of Koramangala. Grand Mercure surrounded by top class inhabited houses and bit grim to Pin-Point.
I happened to visit here along with few food lovers & bloggers for the TownTrendz (www.towntrendz.com) community meet up.
Using Google Maps we did not find much hard in reaching the place for a Sunday Brunch. Here Sunday brunch starts at 12pm to 3.30pm and we almost reached on time. I have seen so many confident reviews about this bistro after I got an invite for a Meet up from TownTrendz
I was eagerly waiting to visit here after seeing the snapshots of this place. Ambiance plays a great role in giving a pleasant dining experience and “By the Blue” got full marks in that. Well, By the Blue is situated behind the Grand Mercure Hotel within the same compound and after I entered inside “I had a feeling that I am in some posh resort at Goa”. Well, that’s a kind of ambience here with great music. Great Ambiance is the USP of this place.

They have two dining areas, one is near Bar Counter and other one is at mezzanine. Mezzanine dining area is mind blowing with ocean blue perfect pool view. Beside Pool they have so many live counters like Pasta, Fish, Barbeque, Pav Bhaji and Pani Puri. Bar Counter is outstanding with lot of Musical Instruments ceiling and sagging at every part of it.

Basically, TownTrendz.com booked for Sunday Brunch which includes Bottomless Cocktails/Mocktails, Starters, Main Course and entrée to Pool where other restaurants don’t.
I happened to try most of the Cocktails in the menu along with it they were happy to make some signature cocktails too, which was out of menu. I was totally overwhelmed with it. Some of the cocktiles were really good, especially
1. Mojito – My Favorite drink and first choice where ever I go. Here it’s as usual upright.
2. Whisky Sunset – Mishmash of Whisky and Mango Juice with small quantity of sugar syrup. Delightful drink for Whisky lovers.
3. Customized Cocktail – As per one of my foodie friend counsel, I tried one with Guava, Rum and Tabasco Sauce. Trust me I ended up two to three (Spiciest drink).

Most of the drinks are extraordinary and noble. I would happy to give full marks for beverages!
Service was good and staffs were very focused in suggesting the dishes and serving best eminence of cocktails & mocktails. Especially Mr. Vishal who is a super cool Bartender and he was very swift in aiding best liquors.
Time to talk about food, they had a extravagant buffet spread and I did not try most of the dishes. I was almost full with appetizers. But I was desirous to try Corn & Mushroom Biryani, Veg Lasagne, Cold Pasta Salad, Lettuce, Alu Palak Curry and Curd Rice. I usually don’t miss Biryani and curd rice anywhere. Biryani was more like a Global taste with less spiciness and Mushroom Corn as a Major Makings and that’s a unique one. There was an option to concoct Raita on your choice with Hewed Onions and Tomato’s.
Veg Lasagna was again a favorite dish of mine and it was good though but I could see lot of cut vegetables more than a sliced ones. Looks like they customized a dish!

I missed to mention White Sauce Pasta, which is again tailored as per my choice. I advised to put green chilies, Bell Peppers, Broccoli with lot of pepper powder, seasoning and chili flakes in preparation of it. Garnished with Grated Cheese! Trust me this dish was again yumm!

In Starters, they served lot of Fried Vegetables (Broccoli, Cauliflower, Bell Peppers, and Zucchini), Barbeque Paneer, Pav Bhaji and Corn. These dishes were superb and I could feel a real fried aroma with it, tastes great with Pudina Chutney. Pav Bhaji was one of the dishes here where I liked and ended up with Repeat.
