Winter Menu at Dhaba, Indiranagar, Bangalore

November 29, 2018

Dhaba Estd 1986 is not new to Bangaloreans as this place won heart of many people within very short span of time. I have been going whenever I crave for authentic Punjabi food.

I had been recently to experience their latest offering that is “Pind Diyan Galliyan”. Chef Ravi Saxena, one of the renowned Indian chef who curated the Winter Menu by handpicking some of the dishes from Bi-Lanes of Amritsar.

The menu comprises of Tandoori Fal Fruit, Methi Matar Malai, Sarson Da Saag, Dhabe Da Khaas Paneer, Makki Da Roti, Gajar Da Halwa, Kubani Da Meetha and Gulkand Kheer.

I have never seen someone plating fruits such nicely. The fruits were marinated and skewered in Tandoor. This is the one & only vegetarian starter, which is worth a try! Sarson Da Saag was rich in taste and creamy amalgamation of leafy veggies and spices cooked to perfection, made this dish a satiating delight. The fried green chilli made a great difference while having Makki Roti & Saag Duo. Methi Matar malai was again rich, creamy and fresh. Probably, this is my next favourite thing after saag. I did not enjoy Dhabe Da Khaas Paneer due to the hint of sweet.

Meal is incomplete without Desserts, so my pick was Gulkand Kheer among all desserts. The Gulkand & Kheer blended very well just like milk & honey and taste is exceptionally good.

There are many Non Vegetarian starters like Kala Sha Kala Kukkad, Nargisi Seekh, Rava Mirchi, Mashoor Champa and Burni Murgh for main course. My fellow meat eaters loved more than myself.

The ambiance is airy and colourful, which certainly gives you positive vibe and sound tracks can probably make You dance.
