Finest Restaurant in the Heart of Koramangala – Banjara Melting Pot

September 14, 2015

A “Gem Kind of a Restaurant” with Classy Décor both Interior & Exterior and located in the roots of Koramangala. I happened to visit here for a lunch on a fine weekday along with my foodie friend. This is a Second outlet in Bangalore; they already have the first one on Cunningham Road with a consistent good rating since the launch.

As I said above the restaurant have an elegant décor with colorful interiors everywhere. They have a dining area at Ground and upper floors with super cool ambiance. It was MF Hussain’s residence later converted into a restaurant, so they were very specific about the décor to maintain fame of Legendary Artist.

“Banjara Melting Pot” is a Typical Fine Dining restaurant with properly set table and there was a series of forks on the left side of our plates, and a series of spoons and knives on our right along with Bright white Napkin.

Let me tell you about the food we ordered, In Starters we ordered Mushroom Chili Basil and Hara Bara Kebab as per their recommendation. Mushroom Chili Basil was extremely good with rich spice level and bell peppers in the dish gave a perfect blend to the dish. The mushrooms were soft and nicely fried. The Hara Bara Kebab just melted in my mouth and aroma of ghee gave a nice feeling to my palate. They garnished the dish with fried cashew nuts, that’s again fried in ghee if I am not wrong. A must try starter in “Banjara Melting Pot” for a Vegetarian.

We were just 2 people, so couldn’t get a chance to try more number of the dishes!

In Main Course we ordered Regular Roti with Dal Tadka and Veg Biryani. Roti was soft and Dal Tadka is heavenly, in fact, we were in a position not leaving it. Spice level was again higher as per our suggestion to the waiter. Veg Biryani is something no one should miss. I was totally speechless after having biryani with thick raitha over here. Well, the Biryani here is not an authentic one, but the flavor makes you entice and makes you crave.

Along with food we tried a couple of mocktails called Shirley Temple & Sea Blue; both were refreshing to beat the summer heat.

Folks are knowledgeable about the dishes served over here and looks like, they have good hands-on experience in serving food, although it’s a newly opened restaurant, that’s commendable.
