Taja Masala Soda is one of the preferred joints for the students and localities of Hanumanthanagar & Basavanagudi. Taja Masala Soda not only serve Sodas and they have unique dishes which people buy like a Hot Cake. Well, this is a small joint and run by a lady with some very serious lady cooks and easy to pin-point near BMS College Hostel.
I overheard this place when I was studying bachelors, people use to say inexpensive restaurant for Parathas. I was bit inquisitive to visit this place after so many confident reviews and feedback from my friends about the place. One fine day I happened to visit along with few friends, we tried their assorted varieties of Parothas, trust me one is better than the other. It’s not an authentic North Indian Parotha but you will not be disappointed with the taste. Proper Stuffing and Soft Rotis makes it perfect. Parotha’s will be served with Pickle & Curd.

Along with Parothas, they also serve Frankies or Rolls, Samosas, Pav Bhaji, Veg Biryani and Vada Pav. They are upgrading the menu very often but not the price. Students and bachelors just love the food they serve. I hardly use to see families in the beginning but during my recent visits it was contradictory. Veg Biryani is my favorite here and cheap though. I tried almost all the dishes here and never disappointed in any aspects.
They have ample varieties of Soda’s which will not cost more than 15 rupees and your meal will be incomplete without it.

They prepare food right in front of you in a Home Made style that’s an added advantage for the consumers. They put so many stools to sit and eat in that trivial area. This is a place to enjoy the food and you can’t expect a great ambiance.
Honestly I haven’t seen a restaurant like this which serves good food at very cheap prices.
Service is decent and quick.
Trend of going here has never stopped in my case and every visit I am enjoying the food and talks with an owner. There is nostalgia with this place and I recall my memories about friends and college days. Not only me, many of my friends just love this place.
Must Try Dishes: Aloo Paratha, Multi Grain Paratha, Peas Paratha, Chinese Frankie/Rolls, Veg Biryani, Samosa, Eggless Litchi Pastry and never miss their sodas.
Price for two people will not cross 150 rupees.

Overall:
Quality: 4/5
Taste: 4/5
VFM: 5/5
Service: 4/5
