Little Green Café, Bangalore is a new venture from Green Theory folks, which is located in Museum Road! The first thing which catches everyone’s attention is décor! Well, this 30 Seater restaurant cum café has fantastic ambiance and made mostly with Natural elements. Overall the place is earthy and calm!
It’s another restaurant which is again focusing more on food and décor. It was a privilege to be part of exclusive tasting session hosted by the folks of LGC. The menu is simplistic with finely crafted dishes and designed with perfection. I was told that the menu was designed by Tanvi Chandran, one of the renowned chefs with the massive knowledge about food.
An afternoon was kick started with Watermelon Basil, Muskmelon & Rosemary Slushie and lemon & mint cooler with basil seeds. These were quite refreshing and certainly don’t go wrong at places like Little Green Café. If you ask me to pick one among these, I will go with Watermelon Basil. Since, the Watermelon doesn’t require sugar, which is good for health and the aroma of Basil attracted my sense. The amalgamation of Watermelon & Basil became a showstopper for that afternoon.
While having a conversation with Mr. Bikash, Owner of Little Green Café, an array of dishes arrived on our table! Beetroot, Quinoa & Feta Tikki, Ricotta & Vegetable Tikki, Mezze Platter and Semolina & Corn Waffles had come in first batch. If you look at the major ingredients, one can easily say it’s a Mishmash of Indian and Continental. The Tikki’s were just melted in Mouth with Mint Chutney. Whereas, Semolina & Corn Waffles gave unique experience and tasted decent though. I could hardly notice oil on Waffles!
I was so curious and tried Mumbai Masala Sandwich as I love Maharastrian Street food. Unfortunately, I couldn’t enjoy. The bread was dry and less addition of Chili Green Chutney. The best part is that Mr. Bikash accepted the feedback politely.
In Main Course, we have tried Thai Green Curry with semi polished Kerala Rice – I never knew that Kerala Rice will go very well with Thai Curries until I visited here. The Thali Green Curry was aromatic and cooked with fresh vegetables. The curry could have been slightly thick! Cottage Cheese Steak with Mexican Rice was another dish from Main Course we opted and it was just fabulous and presented beautifully. I will definitely order whenever I visit Little Green Café.
Overall, It was a good experience and would certainly recommend this place if you are little conscious about health!
