Alba is one of the stylish and elegant restaurant in JW Marriott featured under best Italian cuisine in the Town. Alba was on my wish list from quiet a long time. Sardinia Food Festival fulfilled my wish. As soon as saw the Invite, I was excited and craving for Italian food at Alba.
Alba is located at “L1” in JW on the Lavelle Road (One of the Posh Localities in Bangalore) and my journey started with exploring food and taking photographs. After I have become serious food lover, I am spending some time in taking photographs of all the dishes, ambiance and Chef’s of course.
The Sardinia Food Festival was open for few invited Food Bloggers, Reviewers and Critics of Food Industry. During my visit I chanced to meet few other food lovers in the Town. Well, every time I go to these food festivals I will be getting new friends who are again food lovers. We usually end up having long conversations about food. We all happened to visit here for an exclusive preview of “Sardinia Food Festival” which is about to start from 20th Mar 2015 and goes for almost a week or 10 days.
During this visit I also got a chance to Interact Chef. Antonello Cancedda, a very modest person. I was carried away by his simplicity. We were welcomed by the staff and got introduced to Chef. Antonello Cancedda as soon as we entered Alba.
The scheme and insides are breath-taking and colossal chandeliers sideways the lobby looks glorious. Interiors of Alba is again divergent, beautiful open kitchen surrounded by couple dining tables on one part and other part consists of Gigantic Dining tables which covered by beautiful curtains with elegant lighting. One word about the ambiance is “Awesome”. I never heard about Sardinian cuisine before, so I was curious to know about it. Google gave me some insight about this cuisine and all I noticed that Food is absolutely lite and good for Italian food lovers.
Sardinia is a second largest island in Mediterranean Sea and offers wide range of food. Sardinian cuisine has wide range of Non Veg dishes but not to be disappointed it has Vegetarians too. They have some nice Vegetarian dishes which are extremely good and must try!
Chef. Antonello Cancedda gave us a nice company with his great Music, Food and nice conversation. It was an amazing evening and never seen such a Humble Chef till now.
Let me talk about the food we had at Alba, it was an exclusive event of foodies. Special Menu with Signature dishes which includes Antipasti, Zuppa, Primi and Dolci.
“Millefoglie di carasau con spuma di asparagi, Fave e Patatine” – This was a Antipasti (Before a Meal) we tried and it looks similar to Garlic bread topped with Music Bread which is thin layered hard one but taste was extremely good with Basil and Sun Dried Tomato Sauce.
“Zuppa Di Carciofi E Patate” (Soup) – This dish was made with Artichokes and Potatoes with Parsley. I could feel the pulp of artichokes and soup whiff dreamy, the aroma just immerses through your passages and fills your lungs with savor.
Lasagne Di Pane Carasau Di Zucchini (Main Course) – Lasagne looks authentic and I could notice the layers of Zucchini and Cheese. A mountain of luscious tomato cheese drowning in my mouth, it was superb.
Culurgiones (Main Course) – Potatoes Ravioli with Marzano Tomatoes Sauce, I felt taste was bit bland compare to other dishes and sauce was tangy.
Blanchittos (Dessert) – It was again new for me and tastes boundless with roasted almonds.
Formaggelle (Dessert) – Another must try dessert in Alba, i could feel the taste of Orange & Saffron combination. This was ultimate!
Along with Food they served Red Wine Sangria which was superb and Wine lovers can fall in love with It.
Service was excellent and quick! My special thanks to Mr. Mandeep for his patience and humbleness.
When you visit Alba, don’t forget to Meet Chef. Antonello
