There are few places which creates a positive impression, though you visit for a first time and that would be because of the ambiance and service. I have visited many restaurants and the pubs in the town and a few of them are very close to my heart. Well, I am talking about the newly opened “The Workshop – an all-day Cafe cum Bar” located in busy 100 feet Road in Indiranagar, a road where most of the happening restaurants and pubs are based in Bangalore!
The Place is set in an atmosphere hearkening to the needs of Bangalore’s energetic city inhabitants, provides a happy environment where you can take a time-out over a cup of coffee or a pacifying cocktail. Be it executives seeking a moment’s peace after a long day with clients, or colleagues who would prefer to work in an casual atmosphere with the solidarity of old friends, or be it travelers weary after a flight wanting to freshen up over a hot meal, The Workshop has a warm welcome for all.
The restaurant has a gorgeous outdoor patio, a vivacious indoor dining area, a menu including an invigorating hearty breakfast, lunch and dinner choices extending from kebabs to pizzas, a bar stocked to overflowing, the restaurant has a warm, happy impression whether you choose to work, network, hang out with friends or relax with family.
We were called for a Bloggers Table and got an opportunity to try some of their Signature Cocktails and some finger licking food. The dinner was well organized with dedicated staff to take care of things appropriately. Surprisingly, other guests also had a good experience, which is something commendable, especially at newly opened places.
A pre designed menu was set for that evening, our dinner includes, Mushroom Cappuccino, Chilled Melon & Feta Salad, Veg Bruschetta, Tandoori Mushroom, Basil Cottage Cheese Tikka, Penne Arrabiata, Mushroom Pizza, Methi Malai Mutter, Paneer Butter Masala, Butter Naan, Tandoori Roti and Veg Hyderabadi Biryani!
In desserts, there was Mango & Rasgulla Cheese Cake & Chocolate Mouse!
I am totally overwhelmed with Mushroom Cappuccino, Since it’s my favorite coffee infused mushroom soup. A must try soup, if you are in Workshop. When it comes to Veg Bruschetta & Tandoori Mushroom, bruschetta’s could have been better. However, Tandoori Mushroom was Top Notch with good flavors & spice level. Paneer Tikka was again upright without any complaints. It was marinated & cooked properly to give perfection. Mushroom Pizza was decent enough!
Paneer Butter Masala was authentic and that’s commendable. We can’t expect such an authentic food at Pubs. But, Workshop got full marks for such a brilliant dish. Kudos to the Chef!
Mango & Rasgulla Cheese Cake & Chocolate Mouse – Both were pretty decent and tastes upright. Though I am not a dessert lover, still grabbed a couple of spoons.
In Cocktails, I tried Gossip Girls, Demons Soul and Chocolate Orgasm – These were innovative cocktails and lot of homework might have done to introduce these cocktails in Workshop.
It was a Brilliant Experience overall and love to recommend this place to go with Family and Friends.
