Mesmerizing Countryside Café for Parathas – Indian Paratha Company, Devanahalli, Bengaluru

January 28, 2015

Indian Paratha Company was in my wish list from quite some time. My wish has fulfilled on 27th Jan 2014, I was travelling to my native and did not plan to stopover but somehow I tempted to visit this beautiful restaurant in Blistering afternoon. Good that this restaurant is not so far from my native. This place has become a new destination for weekend Cycle Riders, Bikers and long drive lovers. IPC is located after Devanahalli in the Highway near Jain Hill and easily pin-point towards a left hand side if you are coming from Bangalore.

I have seen so many reviews about this place in online food portals and that’s how I added to list. Most of the reviews says this is a place to enjoy the ambiance and breeze but not for tasty food. My point of view might be strange to others about this IPC. Trust me food is also so yumm!!

Initially I thought of trying only coffee although a weather was very hot. But the food whiff from a kitchen which is behind cash counter made me to order a Paratha. Well, I did not take a chance in ordering any special Parathas and was stick to Aloo Paratha. I was all alone so I did not get a chance to try many other dishes. I am not an Aloo Paratha lover but this place made me a Paratha Fan. Paratha was toasted with lot of butter.

I was impressed with the presentation of the Aloo Paratha which served on my table. Parathas were sliced unvaryingly one on another with Green Chutney, Thick Curd and Pickle. Potatos were smashed and mixed properly by adding perfect ratio of Indian Spices along with chopped onions for fillings in Indian Breads. Paratha was not authentic I guess, but taste was superb and unique. I enjoyed every bite of it with spicy green chutney and Dahi. Green Chutney contains equal proportionate ginger which made the chutney spicier and I felt Mango Pickle wasn’t so good.

I have seen everyone ordering Butter Milk and I ordered to complete my meal. Butter milk was thick like a Lassi and found difficult to drink with a Straw Pipe. It was just superb with lot of tiny chilly, pepper and ginger chunks. Spicy food lovers will surely enjoy a Butter Milk here.

Best part of this restaurant is Ambiance. This is not a huge joint but utilized every corner to give a unique dining experience both Indoor and Outdoor. Restaurant built completely with wood that gives a European Style dining experience. I did not get a chance to see the night light ambiance, as I went in the afternoon. Culinary wallpapers in the corners of the restaurant gave a nice charm. You will definitely enjoy the countryside breeze and fragrance if you opt for outdoor seating especially in the evening. I did not see much crowd, as it was weekday afternoon. I will give full marks to ambiance.

Service was excellent in one word. He served the food quickly with attentive expression on his face. I happened to meet a person by name Mr. Anubhav who manages this IPC and conversation was went on and on. They will be opening few IPC’s in Mysore Road, Hosur Road, Tumkur Road and in some outskirts of Bangalore. IPC will continue to be a Pure Veg in all the future outlets too. They are coming up with IPC Lounge for Non Veg Dishes. Their long term plan is to set up IPC outlets in all the Major Cities of India.

Pricing is neither too high nor Low. One should definitely visit here.
