Last week I was here along with a bunch of friends for lunch. Though the concept of Samaroh is same as other north Indian thali restaurants, the food taste differs and attracts Bangalore crowd as none of the dishes are bland. Coming to the Decor, the place has contemporary interiors which showcases pink theme.
All dishes are served in brass dine ware to give royal feel to guests. The ever smiling waiters will be happy and are eager to serve. Our lunch started with Moti Choor laddoo that was good and had optimum amount of sweetness. I felt the flavor in every granule of Moti Choor and was craving for more. Soon after the lunch, I had one more.
A wooden tray was placed on our table with good number of wafers with pickle, salad, tamarind chutney, and chili pudina chutney. The tray was refilled multiple times by kind and courteous staff. Tomatar Sorba arrived at our table, but I was completely disappointed with this dish. It was too tangy and could not try anymore. Instantly, I provided the feedback and management accepted the feedback politely. To compensate the disappointment, a refreshing Aam Panna was served, which I relished. We might have asked at least 4 to 5 times refill.
Simultaneously a beautiful dish arrived at our table that looked similar to Idly Plate. The Platter had Peeli Sarson Ka Paneer Tikka, Tandoori Apple, Sandwich Dhokla and Kathi Roll. I savored all of these starters completely and thought of going for another serving. But, I could not wait anymore for the chaats, yes and I started. Sev Batata Puri and Pani Puri were outstanding.
Then came the fully loaded elegant thali with Dal Makhani, Paneer Butter Masala, Videshi Sabzi and Desi Tadka, Samaroh Kofta, Channa Palak Sarson, Dal Pakwan, Palak Raitha with Indian breads like Makki ki Roti, Phulka, and Tandoor Roti.
Beyond the taste, I would say it was a great experience. Some of these gravies could have been better. But most of them were good and were perfectly cooked. The meal ended with 4 desserts namely, Kesar Pista Shirkand, Rabdi Malpua, Kulfi, and Akrut Halwa. These were well-prepared and was delicious. I was totally overwhelmed with the taste. It was a fruitful lunch.
For a perfect north Indian royal thali, this is the place where you can enjoy with your family and friends.
Thank you Samaroh and Little App Team for having us! I will recommend this place any day. The price is certainly a steal!
