Healthy and tasty is an oxymoron is what I have always feltuntil I visited Santé Spa Cuisine. Trust me; this place changed my perceptionof healthy food.
No more compromise with your taste buds in order to stayhealthy and fit. This place provides a wide range of delicacies but stillmanages to serve you natural and healthy stuff. As the name itself suggests SantéSpa Cuisine, it has driven their cuisine by philosophies of spa. This placeprimarily focuses on using nut milks, wholegrain breads, and cashew cheeseinstead of regular cheese and breads.
As I glanced through the menu, I saw wide variety of pizzas, homemade soups, salads, all-day breakfast options, smoothie bowls, anddesserts. I must tell you cashew cheese is the showstopper which tempts you tohave more.
Desserts are no more left out in the race, you can havemuesli or wasabi ice cream though combination seems unusual, you cannot juststop at one. The unique ingredients, such as palm jaggery, khandsari, and freshfruits are the ones which make them yummy.
What did I try? My late lunch started with Iced Turmeric Teawith plantain leaf straw, a refreshing yet flavorful drink. The drink did makean impression positive. Shammi of Red Lenthils is something one must definitelytry since we Vegetarians certainly cannot eat Mutton Galouti Kebab. Shammi overhere just melts and broccoli chutney is a perfect accompaniment. Crunchy ChlorophyllDim sum is a visual treat and tastes phenomenal. It’s served on thick Thai RedCurry. One can literally sense natural flavors of it. Crackling Midori SushiRoll is another great curation at Santé Spa! The dish was burst of flavors andloved it more because of broccoli. Get ready to taste most pungent Wasabi withyour Sushi. Beetroot and Spinach Hommus with Khakra is another commendable dishwe tried and it was very well made. I found it very interesting combo. SpicedMushroom & Hommus is again too good and nicely presented. The mushroomswere nicely seasoned and spread on perfectly toasted bread & hommus. BellPeppers garnishing on it is something like Icing on Sugar. Vietnamese Sweet andSour Salad rolls could have been better. I never thought Smoothie will be socould until I tried Oats and Fig Smoothie. Not just presentation, it also tastedalso great without too sweeter. This happy meal ended with Watermelon &Rasmalai Sandwich topped with Rabri Foam and Muesli & Almond Ice Cream.
Finally, I would like to express my gratitude for the duo Pallavi Gupta and Arjun Shetty, who conceptualized the idea of “healthy junk.” This place gave a new dimension to our always happening Indiranagar.
