I happened to visit Ramana’s Coffee Thindi after I heard lot of positive feedbacks from my foodie friend and other mate who stays at Jayanagar 7th Block Locality. This is very trivial café which serves Idly Vada, Chow Chow Bath, Puliyogare and Shavige Bath. This is situated near Ranganna Military Hotel and easy to pin-point in the junction.
This is a Self Service restaurant with very less occupancy.
I started with Single Idly Vada – Quality and Taste of the idly is distinctive and indulgent compare to other small joints in south Bangalore and as usual Vada was so crispy and tastes great. Chutney was again too upright with accurate measure of ingredients and medium spicy though.
Kara bath was my second dish to order and I felt it wasn’t soft and tastes pungent. One of the co-owners was very honest and took my feedback positively.
Puliyogare was another dish I ordered and it was attired with less spicy and tastes brilliant with lot of groundnuts and cashewnuts seeds.
Finally I ended up with strong coffee, which was gratis from owner because of my feedback. Trust me Coffee was again unique and tastes like a combination of Filter Coffee & Latte. I enjoyed coffee in every single sip of it.
Service was quick and they are very nice with customers. Place is neat and Hygienic.
Breakfast for two people will not cross 100 rupees, perfect value for money joint.
I strongly recommend this place for a quick breakfast.
