Golden Rice, a phenomenal northern Indian cuisine restaurant at Marathahalli has come up with Kebab & Roti festival. I was privileged to be part of exclusive lunch with chef & management. I had multiple good experiences at Golden Rice, often become my favourite North Indian restaurant in Bangalore.
The menu was curated by most talented Chef Khayum Khan, a man who worked with many renowned chefs across the country. He is quite experimental with the dishes he curate.
As part of Kebab & Roti Festival, there are approx. 20 dishes of both veg & non-veg.
Well, I have tried Cheese Charred Broccoli – Presentation is upright! These green, hearty, nutrition packed veggie florets are charred to perfection with a marination of garlic-mayo.
Mediterranean Paneer is one of the most recommended dishes in this festive menu. The Paneer was too soft. The marination was perfect and tastes divine. A visual treat to the eyes!
Shakalaka Lychee sounds new right. Well, it’s another interesting dish I would say. The Lychee stuffed with jalapeños & olives and then tossed. The dish is hot, sweet & sour, it’s lip smacking good. One my favourites from the menu and most recommended for all the vegetarians.
They serve 5 different dips & salsa for all these kebabs which include Mango Salsa, Pineapple Salsa, Tomato Salsa, Burnt Garlic Mayo and Spicy Mango Mint.
My Non-Vegetarian friends thoroughly enjoyed Chandni Chowk Tangdi, Mutton Galouti Kebab, Orange & Lemon Monk fish & many more! I did hear lot of endorsements on Baked Lamb Ouzy Rice.
Whereas, I got to eat Dal Makhni with Chilli flakes & Cheese Kulcha and my favourite Vegetable Biryani for main course.
On a sweeter end, I have tried fried Ice Cream with Caramel sauce. It’s a master piece dessert.
Overall, the dishes are innovative & worth trying. There is drama in presentation of every dish now. I feel it would be good if they introduce these on their regular menu as well.
Kebab & Roti Festival would be starting from 6th July till 15th July 2018 for both lunch & dinner.
