Vegetarian Brunch in Town – Lush, Renaissance Bengaluru Race Course Hotel.

October 9, 2018

Its been a while I haven’t written about any new places which emerged in town. Today I thought of writing my recent experience with Renaissance. Well, Renaissance Race Course Road is one of the newest properties in town located amidst of Kumara Krupa and very close to Majestic. The place is charming with modern & state of art interiors.

The property is housed of many restaurants and I got a chance to dine at Lush – An all day dining restaurant which focuses mostly on buffets and brunches. Its an apt place to make your Sunday’s pleasant with some amazing food and cocktails. Brunching in hotels like Renaissance creates a dignity and explicit high class social life.

For the first time in Bangalore, Lush has come up with the concept of “Vegetarian Brunch” on Saturday’s. Its an honour to be at Lush to witness being a Vegetarian. As some of you are known that, I hate buffets at any point of time. However, this concept sounded interesting!

What are they offering? First thing which comes to everyone’s mind is brunches is live counter. Well, live counters are the highlight which comprises of Tandoor, Dosa, Chinese, Italian, Japanese, Chinese, Chat, North Indian and Veg Cocktail Bar along with Massive Main Course, Mediterranean, Salads and Desserts counters.

Attention Grabber? I have seen cocktails making from those synthetic syrups and those artificial colours. However, In Veg Cocktail Bar they use fruit pulps, vegetable extract to make cocktails which is something new. I did like the cocktail “Beet the heat” – A drink made out of Beetroot and Vodka. There are many more like this, cocktail lovers must try their cocktails here.

Doe-sae or Dosa is love, they make dosa like the way you love it. Why do you eat Dosa at Brunch? Because dosa is life for South Indians. I have tried Utappam, it was Swag! Soon after Dosas I got to try Paniyaram, Tandoori Paneer, Mushrooms, Seekh Kababs, Palak Chaat, Channa Bathura, Tempura, Sauteed Vegetables, Sushis, Pani Puri, Barbecued Vegetables and Pastas. Trust me, the food is so good and certainly unmatchable and best part is that, everyone in our gang had same positive feedback about it. I would strongly recommend it.

Why Vegetarian Brunch? There are are some communities like Arya Vysya, Bramhin and Jain preferably visit pure vegetarian restaurants and hesitate to visit the ones which serve both. So, this place would be an ideal choice. Also, Renaissance understood and executed

Before someone think about it. Also, the vicinity is surrounded by mostly vegetarians. Chef Sandeep Kumar did a great decision.

The price of the vegetarian brunch starts from 1100 INR + Taxes, which is steal looking at the spread.

  1. Well written article which gives readers an idea about the veg brunch. I too enjoyed the experience of tasting some of the wonderful dishes that you mentioned. Being a vegetarian, I did not have to worry if the dish I was picking up was non-veg.
Hope to see more writeup from you in future 🙂
